Chaos Cultists, Mutants & Traitors Part 3: Malachi Ghore

My growing Horus Heresy Warp Cult army is in need of a name and a Force Commander. I wanted to make a suitably distinctive looking figure and to set them apart from the great unwashed horde of mutants and cultists.

So far this is my work in progress: Malachi Ghore, Prophet of the Covenant of the Octet Pantheon (30k Force Commander / Cult Demagogue).

While I have always liked narrative style gaming over to frame a table top war game rather than competitive style play, I haven’t historically bothered to go as far as writing up a proper narrative background for my army, but I think I will give it a go on this occasion.

I think this figure also should also nicely double up as a Cult Leader or Radical Inquisitor for Inq28 too which is a bonus as I’m keep to trying out that too sometime this year.

Nice conversion. Writing a narrative for an army is hard work I find. I’m not the best with words and finding the time to write as well as model and paint is even harder. I’m always envious of those who do though and enjoy reading them. So I say go for it!!

I quite like writing though I’m not much cop at it – used to do quite a bit when GMing for RPGs, but it is a lot of work so I’ll have to try to make the time for it in between miniature projects 🙂
